A new face for RIDL
An introduction for our new branding for our Reputation and Identity Layer and a bit about what we are working on right now.
We at Scatter have been pretty quiet the last month or so. That is usually an indication that we have something cooking and just aren’t ready to present our feast.
Well, bon apetit — let’s start the first course.
New branding for RIDL
There are two concepts that we want our branding for this product to embody: security and identity. The emblems that we feel embody these concepts best are a shield and a fingerprint. We are also unifying the color scheme and typography across all GetScatter products.
RIDL Website
We believe that tools make an ecosystem better. For RIDL, we are developing a user-facing website that will allow you to sign in with Scatter, view ratings, and add your own.
No longer will using online applications or interacting with users be done purely on faith or hearsay. You can now know with certainty who you are dealing with, and whether you should sign transactions from them.
We will be releasing the RIDL site in the coming months.
RIDL Browser Extension
Making sure that you don’t exit your current workflow while using RIDL is one of the problems we have been trying to tackle. Our solution to this is to develop a thin browser extension that acts as a quick goto for checking a score or adding a rating.
In the browser bar you will see the aggregate RIDL score. When you open this, you’ll be prompted to log in with Scatter Desktop. After doing so, you’ll have quick and easy access to the same functionality as the RIDL website, but without having to browse to another site.
Much more is on the way
We have many more goodies in the works, like Bridge, Scatter Mobile, updates to Scatter Desktop, a Marketplace for NFT items, and more!
Donations to the ScatterFund help keep us going, and as an added bonus you’ll get some free RIDL tokens out of it. Head on over to our donations page.
