Never visit spam sites that you see in your transaction history

You’ll often see things like this in your EOS account transaction history:

They will ask you to go to a legit looking site (in this case it has already been taken down). You’ll be asked to login and complete the transfer. For older versions of Scatter which do not protect against updateauth transactions, they will try to swap your private keys for theirs and you will permanently lose control of your account.

The lesson here is that there is nothing in your history worth combing through. There are no quick deals that you’ll make which will make you rich. There are only scammers looking for easy prey. Don’t get scammed.

Your private key starts with “5…” and is 51 characters long.
