This is a great question that I’m happy to answer.

  1. The user is buying into a system that, together, allows us to define what is safe online. We think that in itself is a big selling point. Other similar services ask for a monthly subscription, which we don’t think is in the interest of the user.
  2. You have a chance to become a “miner” when you repute something if you’re either first, or the miner before you has their mining time run out. Every repute that anyone does after that gives you a portion of the RIDL spent.
  3. After you rate, you become the “last reputer “which also gets a bit of RIDL from the next rating given if someone else is already a miner.
  4. It also expands your identity’s RIDL capacity each time, which allows them to give stronger and stronger ratings. The more you use the system, the more it respects your vote!
